Anti-war organizing

Let's compare the citizen-level anti-war efforts with the citizen-level pro-Bush ones. On the anti side, we have globally organized, sober marches that draw an amazing spectrum of people. We see hundreds (at least in Austin) of identical "American for Peace" signs on front lawns; someone's designed and printed the thing and organized some sort of effective distribution system.

On the pro side, we have people complaining about the Dixie Chicks anti-Bush comments, and "freedom fries".

It surprises me, since conservatives typically are far better organized, especially at the grassroots level, although often with funding that's clearly not being handed out on this one. It's actually really heartening that bottom-up, no-budget efforts have been as productive as they have been.
