where have I been?

This page has been blank for a while. I haven't forgotten about the poor old heyblog, but I've been so busy that I just can't be bothered to write anything here. We just launched this on Friday, but there's so much else on my plate that I still won't have time to catch my breath for a couple of weeks.

My other project is really fascinating, probably one of the best UI design projects I've worked on. Swell client, and I'm glad to be working with Scott Thomsen on it; working with a really good designer just makes my life so much easier. We're also doing the UI design using a pretty rigorous process--moreso than I've used in the past--and it's working remarkably well. Hopefully more later on this.

The other reason for silence here is that somehow increased work has come along with a decreased interest in all things Design. Adam's post (since rescinded) really nailed it: I'm tired of talking about user-centered design, IA, interaction design, and Big Ideas, at least for now. I'm also very distracted by our upcoming vacation to Mexico, where I plan to experience real Experience Design: the kind where they bring you a margarita whenever you want one.
