Schönhauser Alle circa 1983
Heather noticed this picture of Berlin's Schönhauser Alle on Ostblog, a site with some great East German "ostalgie" stuff.
It's just about a block from where we lived briefly in Berlin last year. I'm sure we jogged through traffic right there.

So you know, you shouldn't use this term "ostalgie" in connection with Ostblog, since he's trying to work against that kind of thing! Poor guy.

I only mention it because he recently noted a "review" of his site on some Amazon subsite called Alexa which said that at Ostblog you could "learn about the GDR and have fun." Spass haben. Not really what he's trying to do, I guess.
