Oregon Travel
Heather and I are going to Oregon for a vacation in early June. Probably mostly Portland and the coast. Can anyone reccommend a hotel in Portland?

I can strongly recommend the Clyde Hotel:

It's cheap, historic, and very centrally located.
It's short on amenities (no Wi-fi, aw shucks), but great for vacationing.

Not exactly a hotel recommendation, but when we lived there several years ago there were a couple "must visits" for food. 'Bread and Ink' had the best breakfast going, including fantastic chicken sausage. And if you up for a drive, head up the Gorge to Multnomah Falls, and then across the bridge and up to Skimania Lodge for brunch on Sunday.

Yes I can, actually. It was a really cool, designy-but-not-ridiculously expensive place with an attached Thai/fusion restaurant that we ate at during the 2003 IA Summit. It was *so* cool that I retrieved a brochure...which has now been displaced somewhere during all the moving.
Hang on, let me google...ah yes: the Lucia.

Give that a try!
