AllofMP3.com

$0.99 a song seem like to much to pay at iTunes? Well, check out ALLOFMP3.com, a Russian site that sells mp3s at amazing quality for as little as five cents each. Yep, you pay $10.00 to download 1 gigabyte's worth of songs. The selection is rather incredible, and you can get songs encoded at up to 384 kps and can choose mp3, MPEG-4, WMA or other formats. Definately worth putting up with the confusing interface.

It's not entirely clear how they're able to do this to me technically. Some things I've downloaded have made me wait a few minutes as the music is encoded for the first time. I had a vision of some Russian dude getting woken up in the middle of the night to rip me a Fields of the Nephilim CD, but it's probably more sophisticated than that.
