Horizon10 Conference and Design Engaged 2004
Anyone interested in our little Design Engaged event should look at the summary of the recent Microsoft/IDSA-sponsored Horizon10. The content will be pretty different, but the spirit that "this is not a conference; the audience is the content of this event" is the same, and we'll use some of the same structure. I like the idea of guiding brainstorming around the armature of personas, although some of the "new ideas" are already clichés: "The wall of the work station is covered with TVs playing ads. When you walk over, the ads change to fit your profile. This can only happen in a regulated environment where all technologies are compatible." Got to love those regulated environments to be filled with ads.
Horizon10's Summary Powerpoint presentation is worth reading even if you're not interested in Design Engaged.
