It’s painful in the short term, but it’s interesting to think about what’s next: better hybrid engines, then pure hydrogen. What does this size mean when the vehicle gets the equivalent of 100mpg? Is it suddenly OK? Will more of us start driving them? Or less, because they’re more likely to kill us?
