Did the best we could
It barely registers on this county-by-county map, but it sure does remind me that Austin ain’t Texas. Austin’s in Travis County, which is the heart-shaped blue spot lower-right of the center of the state. It’s a ten-hour drive from Austin to the western tip of Texas, and about an eight-hour drive from Austin to the northwestern corner that pokes into Arkansas.
