Better display of image feeds in RSS readers

Now that a bunch of my feeds are Flickr photo feeds, it occurs to me that my RSS reader needs to be able to differentiate between those and regular, mostly text feeds. What I’d really like is to be able to associate a specific display template with a given feed. Then I could have something like this grid layout for my photo feeds (click for larger version):

What would be even better is if my newsreader itself had a tag-browsing mechanism something like what Tom proposed for the web browser. I’m thinking particularly of this mockup.
