Backpack and Slideshow plugins for Quicksilver
Alcor truly is a genius. Two recent plugins for Quicksilver make me clap my hands for joy: the Slideshow module and the Backpack module.
The Slideshow module makes Tiger’s new built-in slideshow function much more useful. It’s inconvenient to browse to a folder of images, select them, then choose “Slideshow” from the Action menu. With the QS plugin, you can just type the name of the folder, tab, then type “slideshow” and hit Return to launch a slideshow of all images in that folder.
The Backpack module works with 37Signals’ new application Backpack. It’s too hard to describe how QS and Backpack work together, so it’s lucky someone made a video. This combination’s very handy for quickly jotting something down (in Markdown, natch) and sending it off, knowing that it will appear on one of your Backpack pages, properly formatted.
