Designengaged.com temporarily kaput
Hopefully this will go basically unnoticed, but I messed up www.designengaged.com, and it’s going to be briefly unavailable.
UPDATE: ‘s back now. :-)
The reason is that I misunderstood Yahoo’s domain registration offerings, and didn’t quite catch that although they let you redelegate existing domains to their service, they don’t let you transfer the domain to them as a registrar. Christ. So, when I changed the nameservers as per their instructions—thinking the whole time…why..am..I..doing…this—I naturally caused the site to be pointed to some doofy Yahoo page.
I’ve reregistered the domain with my good old registrar Dotster, and have changed the nameservers back to my good old hosting company Thinkhost. Hopefully things will be back to nromnal in a day or so.
